Hill and the Valley is the creative studio of Pim van den Heuvel, a composer, music producer and educator.

With a twelve-year track record in music for media, I view music as more than sound: it’s movement, emotion and story. From quiet textures to bold rhythms, I integrate live instruments and diverse ensembles, ranging from strings to brass sextets, to the Metropole Orkest. For clients like Studio Roosegaarde, BMW, WWF and Google.

I work as a creative extension of your team, approaching every project as a shared landscape to explore. Through creative dialogue, from concept to composition, I translate your vision into sound, shaping the highs and lows of the score until it fits the narrative seamlessly.

The name Hill and the Valley is rooted in this philosophy, reflecting the shape of a sound wave and the process of creation. My aim is to create space for connection, expression, and growth, with one shared purpose:
